Residents and businesses in Waddesdon were without water on Wednesday morning, with the repair work causing long delays throughout the day.
The burst water main on the A41 saw villagers either without water or with very low pressure. The issue also caused severe delays for traffic going through the village, especially from the Bicester direction, with local councillors contacting Transport for Bucks, who requested Thames Water manually control the lights.
Water was restored in the afternoon, although a statement from Thames Water said the supply may be interrupted again while they carry out a full repair.
