The water company will have to invest a further £62.8 million.
Labour MP Callum Anderson says it will come "as little surprise" to residents in his constituency that Anglian have been told to improve by by regulators for the fifth year running
He says the government is "taking action to clean up our rivers and hold water companies to account", welcoming news that Anglian is required to invest a further £62.8 million after concerns about excessive sewage spills during storms.
Anderson says he's already met with their representatives in Maids Moreton to "make clear the strength of feeling across our communities".
He added "time and again, residents tell me they are frustrated by sewage pollution and fed up with seeing the same problems repeated year after year.
"People want to see cleaner rivers, stronger environmental standards and a water company that takes its responsibilities seriously. I've heard those concerns loud and clear, and I will continue pressing Anglian Water to deliver real improvements, not more excuses both in Westminster and at home."
