Aylesbury Police are advising residents to keep valuable items out of sheds and outbuildings
It's after a number were targeted by thieves in the Waddesdon neighbourhood over the weekend.
The police say they know if's impractical but it is best to take valuable items into the main house if possible.
They also advise that isolated allotments are a very easy target, with potential intruders less likely to be spotted.
The warning comes after a spate of thefts from farms in Aylesbury Vale in the last few weeks.
