Thames Valley Police attended a property in Cromwell Avenue at around midnight today, Tuesday 18 August, as officers attempted to make an arrest in connection with a criminal damage incident.
Police initially closed Cromwell Avenue and warned residents of an increased police presence while the incident was ongoing.
A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said officers carried out an armed deployment and confirmed the incident has now been resolved.
A 55-year-old man from Thame was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and remains in police custody.
Cromwell Avenue has since reopened.
Police have thanked residents in the area for their patience while officers dealt with the incident.
