Fire crews from four regions combined to tackle a blaze at The Kings Hotel in Stokenchurch throughout Friday night.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue were called to the scene at just after 8.30pm, following reports of a serious fire at the 16th century former coaching inn.
Their teams supported others from Buckinghamshire, London and Hampshire providing a number of appliances, officers and a hydraulic platform (cherry picker). South Central Ambulance and police officers were also assisting.
An investigation is now underway to find out what caused the fire.

No injuries have been reported but the hotel has suffered significant damage.
People living in the surround area are being told to expect disruption for days to come.
The local community has been praised for their response, including a local shop – Coffee on the Green – who served free refreshments to the emergency services throughout the night.
