During the pandemic, many of us adopted cats and dogs who needed a loving home.
However, The RSPCA centre at Blackberry Farm wants to remind people of the wide variety of animals they help.
Animal welfare expert at the charity, Dr Mark Kennedy, told us more:
"Adopting rather than shopping is very rewarding because you're helping rescue animals, the very nature of them coming into our care, they've had mistreatment and neglect. So we've rehabilitated them, and you'll be providing a lifetime home to an animal who really does need it."
Many people may not think of the RSPCA for rehoming small animals, but Dr Kennedy told us why we should:
"We've found a lot more demand for dogs and cats to rehome, but they don't often think of us for rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters, and in actual fact we've got many of those animals in Bucks right now who are looking for loving homes."
Although the increase in demand has meant 88 rabbits in Bucks were found loving new homes by the charity in 2020, some in the region are still waiting to find their perfect home.
Dr Mark Kennedy also gave some really important advice for people who may be struggling to look after their pet at the moment:
