Thames Valley Police has confirmed a man has been arrested following a stabbing in Aylesbury yesterday (10/6).
A man in his late teens suffered multiple stab wounds while being chased on Whitehall Lane and Oxford Road at around 7.10pm.
Fortunately, the victim is currently stable in hospital.
Officers arrested an 18-year-old man from Aylesbury on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent, possessing a knife in public and possessing cannabis. He remains in police custody.
Officers have also seized a knife at the scene.
Detective Chief Inspector Rachel Wheaton said: “We have arrested a man following this isolated stabbing in Aylesbury and we are not looking for anyone else at this time.
“We have a large scene in place, which is required so we can concentrate on recovering as much evidence as possible, but I understand the impact it is having on the public so thank you for your patience.
“Any witnesses or anyone who was on Oxford Road and/or Whitehall Lane at around 7.10pm yesterday evening should contact police.”
