Two men sentenced for drug offences in High Wycombe

Two men have been sentenced for drug offences in High Wycombe.

Cameron Kemp, otherwise known as Ayub El-Omari, aged 25, of no fixed abode, was sentenced to four years and three months in prison, at Aylesbury Crown Court on Friday (8/9).

Kyree McKenzie, aged 19, of no fixed abode, was sentenced to two years and one month in prison, at Aylesbury Crown Court on 16 June.

On 18 May, they both pleaded guilty to two counts each of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A, namely cocaine and heroin, in a hearing at Amersham Crown Court.

At around 5.40pm on 4 October last year, officers completed a warrant under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act at an address in High Wycombe.

Kemp attempted to climb out of the kitchen window and McKenzie ran out to the back garden but both were detained by officers. The kitchen worktop contained a large quantity of class A drugs with a street value of £30,000, which were being prepared for onward sale.

Kemp and McKenzie were arrested the same day and were charged on 5 October.

Investigating officer PC Talan O’Neill, part of the South Buckinghamshire Stronghold team, said: “These men were operating a significant drugs operation storing and selling drugs throughout Oxfordshire to vulnerable members of our community.

“We will continue to take strong action on drugs, investigating those who deal drugs and bringing them before the courts to face justice.

“Members of the public can play their part in helping us to remove drug dealers from our communities by reporting information to us, so we can use it to build intelligence and take action. This can be done on our website or by calling 101.

“You can also report information anonymously by calling independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
