Six men have been charged in connection with numerous thefts in rural areas in Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.
Those charged with one count of conspiracy to steal by postal requisition on Tuesday (2/1) were:
- William Harris, aged 27, of Farnham Road, Petersfield, Hampshire
- James Maughan, aged 62, of Middle Ground, Wheatley
- Sami Nafa, aged 32, of Kew Bridge Road, Brentford, London
- Ameet Saroay, aged 43, of Florence Road, Southall, London
- William Stokes Jr, aged 25, of Nine Mile Ride, Wokingham
- William Stokes Sr, aged 48, of Nine Mile Ride, Wokingham
Stokes Jr was also charged with three counts of receiving stolen goods.
Stokes Sr was also charged with two counts of receiving stolen goods.
Harris was also charged with one count of receiving stolen goods.
The charges relate to the theft of several trailers and horseboxes from addresses in North Newington in Oxfordshire, Haddenham, Westbury, Turweston and Radnage in Buckinghamshire, as well as Oxhill in Warwickshire and Bardney in Lincolnshire, between 3 September 2021 and 25 November 2021.
The defendants, except Maughan, were arrested between 24 November 2021 and 22 December 2021.
They are due to appear at Slough Magistrates’ Court on 23 January.
