Aylesbury Vale Police are warning residents to watch out for scammers.
It comes after they've seen an increase in card scammers operating in the area, especially within car parks where victims pay by card.
Offenders are asking the public if their PINs are working on the machine and confusing them to cause a distraction, then using a device to remove funds from their card.
They have advised that if you are paying for parking, be mindful of your surroundings and possible distractions while you purchase your ticket.
