Police Announce Death of Much-Loved Retired Dog Griff

A retired police dog who served in Buckinghamshire has died at the age of 10.

Griff passed away on Friday afternoon (24/4), just weeks before his 11th birthday. Born on 14 May 2015, he completed police dog training in 2016 at the age of one.

Handled by now-retired Police Constable Pascoe, Griff served in Buckinghamshire for six years. During that time, he was deployed in a range of policing duties and was known for his tracking ability and effectiveness in locating suspects.

He retired from service at the age of seven, at the same time as his handler.

After retirement, Griff lived on a farm, where he spent his remaining years.

Tributes have been paid to Griff, recognising his contribution to policing and his years of service.
