Bucks Council have warned that someone has been posing as a Civil Enforcement Officer at their car parks in High Wycombe.
The offender has been telling drivers that payment machines are out of order & that they must pay them cash instead.
They are reminding drivers that they will not take cash in-person as payments at car parks, and if payment machines are out of order, drivers will be directed to another machine, RingGo payment or an alternative car park.
Their officers' uniforms always have the Buckinghamshire Council logo & they will always carry a Council ID.
If in doubt, you can ask to see their Council ID or call 0300 131 6000 if you see anything suspicious.
