A man has been arrested on suspicion of false imprisonment.
Officers were called to an address on St Edmunds Close in Aylesbury in response to an ongoing investigation.
A 35-year-old man was arrested at the scene and remains in custody.
Thames Valley Police said the presence of a significant number of police officers during this incident may have raised concerns within the local community.
The force said the incident was an isolated one and there is no cause for alarm or risk to the wider community.
