Michael Anthony Donnachie is preparing for a gruelling 500 km cycling challenge to raise funds for children in need at a Thailand orphanage.
The event, organized by his Australian estate agency colleagues, will take place over five days, beginning on March 9, 2025.
“I’ve been fortunate to be invited by my colleagues in Australia to join this annual fundraising event, which will see me cycling through the beautiful but challenging terrain of Thailand,” Michael said. “I’m sure I’ll be a bit saddle sore and in need of plenty of hydration, but my motivation will be the children we’re helping.”
The funds raised will go directly to Hands Across the Water, a charity that provides support to orphaned children in Thailand, helping them build a better future. Michael has personally covered the cost of entry for the event, ensuring that every penny raised will go to the charity.
Michael, who works with Rightmove in the UK, first met his Australian counterparts during their visits to London to learn about the UK estate agency systems. Over time, these meetings led to a partnership, and Michael is now excited to take part in this worthy cause.
To prepare for the challenge, Michael has already started training, making sure he’s ready to complete the 500 km route. “Any donation, no matter how small, will make a real difference to these children,” he added. “I’m looking forward to pushing through the challenge and making a positive impact in their lives.”

Every contribution counts, and Michael thanks the community for their generosity and support.
