A Celebrant from Nash is up for two top industry awards.
Nicola West has been nominated for Rising Star & Celebrant of the Year at the The Celebrant Industry Awards.
The national recognition comes just a year into her full time career change to someone who performs and officiates formal ceremonies.
Nicola gave us her reaction to the nomination:
"I was over the moon when I found out I had been nominated,to be recognised by my industry peers, as well as clients, and family and friends as well, it's just truly incredible."
Nicola told us she hopes the experience of her business, Ceremonies by Nicola, can inspire others. She had this advice for anyone thinking about starting their own company:
"Go and get the training, get some advice on how to set it up. I have always wanted to be a celebrant and always loved the thought of being able to help families, couples and individuals at the most memorable times of their lives.
Sometimes it's happy, sometimes it's sad, but at the end of the day I feel really fulfilled, and I think that's what going out there and doing it yourself is all about, fulfilment."
