The Neighbourhood Police in Aylesbury have issued advice on keeping your home safe now the nights are drawing in.
They are reminding residents to leave a light on in the house if you're not going to be there after dark, as this is when burglars can take advantage of your property.
They have issued other tips on keeping your home safe too, like:
- Keeping all valuables out of sight
- Not advertising you are away on social media
- Close and lock all doors and windows when going out or to bed
- Keep curtains drawn so that people cannot look I to your house at night
- Be bright and invest in a timer switch
