Free basketball sessions in Buckingham

Are you ready to play some basketball this summer?

Coach Jenner is back in Buckingham on Monday to play some basketball with the young people. There will be two sessions starting on Monday 24th July. The first session is from 5:30pm to 6:30pm in the MUGA in Chandos Park for ages 8 – 12 yrs of age. He will then move over to the MUGA in Bourton Park for the 13+ yrs session from 6:45pm – 7:45pm.

Coach Jenner said "Every year we have lots of girls and boys attending our Chandos sessions throughout the summer. Do not worry if you have not played basketball before - our coaches start with all the basics so that everyone has fun progressing together. We will collect contact details from parents upon arrival. Do not forget to bring some water with you for the well-earned drinks break.”

Sessions will continue through the summer holidays on the following dates Monday 31st July 3rd August 7th August 14th August, Monday 21st August and Monday 28th August. This year there are two extra sessions for 13+ and these will be in the MUGA in Chandos Park.

All equipment is provided and these free turn up and play sessions which have proved extremely popular in the past and are fully funded by Buckingham Town Council and led by an experienced coach.

Chair of the Town Centre and Events Committee Cllr Robin Stuchbury said “The Town Centre and Events Committee and staff organise as many events as possible free of charge during the summer holidays and are pleased to put on this activity for younger members of our community. We hope as many people as possible will come along and enjoy themselves.”
