Florence Nightingale Hospice's message to Bucks Radio after a successful NOT the Midnight walk

Many peoples alarms were going off earl last Saturday morning as people joined in with The NOT the midnight walk for Florence Nightingale Hospice.

And now the charity have left us a message to express to say thanks to everyone who got involved.

This is Lee Lloyd who is Head of Fundraising at the charity:

"Thanks to Bucks Radio's listeners, this year was fantastic! On Saturday morning over 600 people and dogs, and a lot of children as well, got out of bed at 5am and walked for Florence. We've received hundreds of photos of supporters in fields and on the streets, in t-shirts, dressed as cows, superwomen and more! Some walkers taking on their 12th walk, others on their 1st, remembering loved ones who have died in the Hospice."

He told us how much the event raised for the Hospice:

"I'm happy to say the event went really well and the current fundraising total is a phonemonal £70,000, which is an amazing sum at a really difficult and challenging time for the Hospice."

And he even had a little thanks for our own Cooper and Mini Cooper:

"Thank you to Nathan and to Neve and to everyone at Bucks Radio for all your help in making the event happen, and for raising such a life changing sum of money. Here's to next year!"
