Parking in Bucks Council car parks will no longer be free after today.
From tomorrow (Wednesday 12th May), normal charges will apply to Council owned car parks.
For the last month, people have been provided with free car parking, with the aim to encourage residents and visitors to shop locally in Bucks after the 2nd Step of the COVID-19 Government Roadmap was announced.
In regards to charging for the car parks again, Bucks Council have said:
"As high streets have reopened and residents are returning to use shops, restaurants, etc., it is important to effectively manage car parking space to help manage traffic flows and improve pedestrian safety. A structured payment regime also supports supply and demand, ensuring sufficient parking is available."
