The latest Covid-19 data for Buckinghamshire shows that case numbers are continuing to reach new heights due to the Omicron variant.
There were 7,897 new cases reported in the region in the last week – averaging more than a thousand a day for the first time.
The case rate for Buckinghamshire is 1,443.5 people per 100,000 but experts suggest the true number of people who have the virus could be as high as one in 15.
Sadly, one person also died in the last week.
60.2% of those eligible in Bucks have now had their booster shot, which experts say is critical for fighting the new variant.
