Call-out for Bucks bands to perform at local festival

Live in the Park

Aylesbury Town Council has begun its search for the best local bands to perform at Live in the Park next summer.

Live in the Park is part of the August Bank Holiday Parklife Weekend. 18,000 festival goers attended the event last summer and audiences are expected to grow for 2022.

The Town Council is asking bands and artists of all genres and levels of experience to apply for a chance to perform on one of the Live in the Park stages on Saturday 27 August 2022.

If you think you’ve got what it takes, here is your opportunity to shine!

The Mayor of Aylesbury, Cllr Anders Christensen, said:

“Through this Call Out we would like to support as many local bands and artists as possible. It doesn’t matter if your band has been together for 20 years or two months, we encourage everyone to get involved.

“Over the years, Live in the Park has seen a diverse range of genres take to our stages from country music to rap and folk to pop. We’re looking for performers which will wow our Live in the Park crowd.

“To be in with the chance of performing at this much-loved community event, all you have to do is fill in the online form and upload a video of you or your band performing. Best of luck to everyone, we can’t wait to find Aylesbury’s next big thing.”

Interested bands and artists should complete a form by 9pm on Sunday 12 December 2021.
