Bucks Police are sharing a common scam doing the rounds in the midst of the cost of living crisis.
Scammers are pretending to be energy regulator, Ofgem - offering the £400 energy bill rebate.
They are sending text messages and emails asking you to follow a link to a fake Ofgem website to then provide personal details and set up a direct debit to receive the rebate. But it’s all a lie.
For most people the discount will be applied to your energy bill automatically – there's absolutely no need to apply.
