Laura Kyrke-Smith says she had an extremely harrowing meeting with a Mum at a constituency advice surgery recently.
The mother's 12-year-old son had been groomed by an artificial intelligence chatbot through an AI character website.
The Labour MP says it's utterly unacceptable that young people are exposed to the risks and harms of AI in this way, and she will be writing to Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Technology Peter Kyle to push for reform and greater regulation.
