They had managed to keep covid away recently, meaning a return to some classes and visits, but one block is badly affected right now.
Aylesbury Prison have been classed as a covid outbreak site, after the virus returned to the Young Offenders Institute.
They tweeted to say that one of the wings has been affected, with a high number of positive cases.
Unfortunately we have had to restrict the regime on one of our wings as covid has returned to the prison with a high number of prisoners testing positive. We are now classed as an outbreak site. We are sorry for any impact this has on you and your loved ones as we try to 1/2

Bosses have apologised to family and friends who can’t see loved ones and say they are trying to contain the outbreak.
