From today (9/12) until 21st December, the 'Christmas in the Park' event will be in and around Higginson Park - boasting an illuminated light trail, Christmas film marathons and a festive market - all while raising money for charity.
Creative Director of Christmas in the Park Jake Leonard told us more about the local charities who will benefit from the event:
The illuminated light trail featuring festive-themed installations will be the centrepiece of the event, along with the Mistletoe Christmas Market, interactive Elves Workshop and Winter Village featuring gourmet food trucks, bars and live performances of your favourite carols and festive songs.
The event will also showcase local talent and the community, as Jake explains:
Visitors can also enjoy everyone’s favourite festive flicks in the indoor cinema, just next to Higginson Park, and panto classic Dick Whittington will be taking to the stage in the pop-up theatre next to the park.
