Competitors in Olney will don an apron and a hat or scarf, and toss a pancake three times during a race to the church today.
Congratulations to this years winner Eloise Kramer who completed the course which is 415 yards (almost 380 metres)
"It's women only - and you have to have lived or worked in Olney for at least three months," says Ruth Martin, of the Olney pancake race committee.
The annual event supposedly has been in existence for over 550 years.
Organiser Ruth Martin has been telling Bucks Radio about the history of the event:
The main race will start at 11:55am.
