Woman in "serious but stable condition" after attempted murder

Police say a woman remains in hospital after an attempted murder.

A woman in her 40s was assaulted on Melbourne Road near Micklefield Park in High Wycombe on Sunday, February 18.

She suffered serious injuries in the assault.

Officers said the woman is still in hospital in a "serious but stable condition".

Darren Robertson was charged with one count of attempted murder on February 19.

The 38-year-old appeared at High Wycombe Magistrates Court on February 20 and was remanded in custody.

He is due to appear at Aylesbury Crown Court on March 19.
