Theatre designer honoured as part of Waterside is rebranded in his memory

The family of the late Norman Bragg, the architect behind the Waterside Theatre, have told Bucks Radio how proud they are after part of the venue was renamed after him.

What was The Second Space at the Waterside will now be known as The Norman Bragg Studio.

Norman, who sadly passed away in 2019,  took inspiration for the Theatre from the Chiltern landscape, and took just 3 minutes to sketch out his initial ideas.

His brother, Richard, told us that of all the projects he was involved with, the Waterside was the one that thrilled him most:

The studio features flexible seats that can be removed and easily stored to leave an open space. A week of diverse shows and performances is underway to officially open the area, including an interactive orchestra tonight (Wednesday 30/3) and a local bands night on Friday.

Richard says the fact that Bucks talent and community groups will use the space makes it an even more fitting tribute, and will provide a lasting memory for his family:
