A much-loved community group that has helped combat loneliness and bring people together across Aylesbury has moved to a new venue.
The Knit & Natter group, led by local community champion Maria Butler as part of the Never Alone programme, is now meeting every Wednesday at Foxhill Indoor Bowls Club, Aylesbury Sports Ground, on Wendover Road.
The group has become a lifeline for many local residents, offering friendship, support and a welcoming space for people of all ages and abilities.

Maria Butler said the move provides members with more space while maintaining the friendly atmosphere that has made the group so popular over the years.
The sessions run from 10.30am until 1pm each Wednesday and welcome everyone, whether they enjoy knitting, crocheting, crafting or simply want to enjoy a chat over a cup of tea.
The Knit & Natter group forms part of the Never Alone initiative, which aims to reduce social isolation and improve wellbeing through community connections. Members regularly create knitted "Never Alone Buddies" that are distributed throughout the local area to spread kindness and support.
Organisers say the new venue will allow the group to continue growing while providing a comfortable and accessible meeting place for existing and new members alike.
Anyone interested in joining can simply turn up on a Wednesday morning. No previous knitting experience is required, and donated wool and materials are available for those who would like to take part.
The group meets every Wednesday from 10.30am to 1pm at Foxhill Indoor Bowls Club, Aylesbury Sports Ground, 86 Wendover Road, Aylesbury. All are welcome.
