Buckingham Neighbourhood Police Team (NHPT) is responding to multiple reports of anti-social behaviour occurring on land situated between Buckingham Rugby Club and the village of Maids Moreton
According to authorities, recent incidents involve juveniles trespassing on private property, starting fires, and causing damage to the land. Police have noted that such actions may be considered arson due to the deliberate nature of the fires.
Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service (BFRS) has attended the scene on two separate occasions to extinguish fires reported in the area. Emergency services have expressed concern over the elevated risk these incidents pose, particularly due to the current hot and dry weather conditions. Officials warn that fires could spread quickly and result in the destruction of large areas of land and crops.
Investigations are ongoing to identify those involved. In the meantime, officers from the Buckingham NHPT will be increasing patrols in the affected area to deter further incidents and ensure public safety.
