A 21-year-old man has been arrested following the theft of a bicycle in High Wycombe early on Thursday morning but police are currently unable to locate its owner.
The bike, which is a black and red electric Carrera MTB, was stolen from Peaty Court, Princes Gate, High Wycombe at around 5.20am on 1st September.
The offender cut the bike lock off an electric mountain bike and tried to ride off with it.
Police are appealing for the owner of the bike to come forward, as well as any witnesses to the theft.
Investigating officer PC Cameron Parker-Graham, based at High Wycombe police station, said: “We would like to appeal to the owner of this bike to please come forward.
“Also, anybody who may have been in the area and witnessed this theft should please get in touch.
