A heavy police presence remains on White Hill in Aylesbury this evening, with a full road closure in place between the three roundabouts at the Royal Bucks Hospital and the roundabout for Friarage Road/Gatehouse Road (21:00, 10/6).
The closure has been in place since around 7.30pm on Wednesday evening.
Emergency services have responded to an incident on the A418 Oxford Road, with witnesses reporting a significant police presence in the area. Some people have also reported hearing a police helicopter overhead.
The nature of the incident has not been officially confirmed.
While there has been speculation on social media about what may have happened, there has so far been no official word from Thames Valley Police on the nature of the incident.
