A man in his 30s was assaulted by 8-12 people by the Guildhall on High Street.
He sustained a fractured orbital bone and three broken ribs, and received treatment in Wexham Park Hospital, Weston Eye Hospital and Northwick Park Hospital. He has since been discharged.
One of the offenders is described as a black man with short dreadlocks, aged between 20 and 30.
He had a London accent and a gold tooth in the middle of the top row.
Case investigator, Hannah Hargreaves based at High Wycombe police station, said:
“We are appealing for witnesses to this incident to please come forward.
