East West Rail has concluded its latest public consultation on proposals for the new railway linking Oxford, Milton Keynes, Bedford and Cambridge.
The consultation ran from the 14th of April to the 9th of June and included 15 events, both online and in person, giving local communities the chance to view updated plans, explore route designs and speak directly with the project team.
More than 5,000 responses were received during the consultation period. East West Rail says it is now reviewing all of the feedback, which will help shape and refine the project ahead of a planned Development Consent Order application in 2027.
The organisation says comments, questions and suggestions from residents will play a vital role in the next stage of the design process.
A summary of the consultation findings and the key issues raised by participants is expected to be published this autumn.
