A 32 year old man has been sentenced in connection with an aggravated burglary in High Wycombe.
Jamal Ahmed, of no fixed abode was sentenced at Aylesbury Crown Court on Friday (3/12) to seven years’ imprisonment after pleading guilty to one count each of aggravated burglary and possession of a knife blade / sharp pointed article in a public place.
On 7 August 2021, Ahmed stole an iPhone from a property in Rutland Avenue, armed with an axe. He entered the property with the axe and took the phone from a kitchen table as well as a knife.
The victim, a woman in her fifties, heard Ahmed and found him in the property. She heard her phone alarm and asked Ahmed to give the phone back. He refused and swung the axe at the front door before leaving.
Ahmed was arrested the same day and charged on 8 August.
