A man has been charged with robbery following an early-morning attack at a village shop and post office in Buckinghamshire.
Thames Valley Police confirmed that Robert Blake, 45, of no fixed abode, has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident at Longwick Londis and Post Office.
Police were called at around 7.50am on Sunday 11 January after reports that a man had assaulted the shop owner before stealing the till and its contents.
Following the robbery, the suspect was chased by the owner through nearby streets, including Thame Road, Walnut Tree Lane and The Green, before police enquiries were launched.
Blake has been remanded in custody and is due to appear in court on 10 February.
