A new speed management campaign is underway in Bucks.
'Eco driving' is all about honing your skills at the wheel to drive more efficiently – reducing carbon emissions, saving money and ultimately being safer on the roads.
It’s backed by Transport for Bucks, alongside the Police and Bucks fire and rescue.
Cabinet Member for Transport, Steve Broadbent, said:
“Due to lockdown and the various restrictions we have experienced, some drivers will be used to quieter, traffic free roads. As we head back to normality and the roads get busier, it is more important than ever to make sure you’re managing your speed to keep you, and other road users around you safe.
"Ecodriving is a fantastic skill to harness – not only is it better for the environment, helping you to save fuel by a least 10% – but it saves you money and makes you a safer driver too. Having recognised these benefits, I am looking forward to participating in my own ecodriving assessment later this month.”
