A male has been arrested following reports of a knife-related incident at a skate park in Buckingham on Sunday afternoon. (7/6)
According to Thames Valley Police, officers received several reports of a young male carrying a large knife at the skate park.
Police said a helicopter was used to help locate people matching the descriptions provided by witnesses. Officers then detained those believed to be involved while enquiries were carried out.
A large knife was recovered from the area and, following further investigation at the scene, one male was arrested and remains in police custody.
Thames Valley Police said the allegations reported to officers are now under investigation.
The force said there were a large number of young people at the skate park at the time of the incident and that reports suggested several people may have been threatened or shown a knife.

In a statement, police said reports of this nature are taken "extremely seriously" regardless of the ages of those involved, and reiterated warnings about the dangers and consequences of carrying knives.
