National charity FoodCycle are now using surplus food to generate a weekly 3-course vegetarian meal that residents in Aylesbury can enjoy for free.
Bucks Council has supported and funded the development of the FoodCycle site in Aylesbury, which is at one of the local food banks – Aylesbury Vineyard.
Steve Bowles, Cabinet Member for Communities, said:
“This is a fantastic initiative that I’m proud we’re able to support.
“Everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy a warm, tasty, free meal at 6pm every Tuesday at Aylesbury Vineyard."
Emily Macauley Wilcox, FoodCycle’s South East Regional Manager, commented:
“If you'd like to get involved, we still need plenty more hands on deck every Tuesday evening! You can sign up here. A big thank you for all the support so far.”
