Fire crews were called to Tiddenfoot Leisure Centre earlier.
Crews from Leighton Buzzard, Dunstable and Stopsley were called to the site at just before 8:15am.
The incident was caused by chlorine gas which has been contained.
Local residents have been advised to keep windows and doors closed as a precaution.
