The council's spare seat scheme allows parents to buy space on council run school transport for the autumn term 2024, but time is running out to apply.
The buses are for children who are eligible for free school transport. Once the seats have been allocated to eligible children, there may be a small number of seats on some routes that are spare.
The spare seats are on timetabled buses only. Seats on smaller vehicles (such as taxis or minibuses) are not offered for sale.
Applications must be made by MONDAY JULY 15th at MIDDAY, and the council cannot guarantee the seat will continue to be available. For example, if another child who is eligible for free school transport needs a seat later in the year, or if they need to change the route, your child may no longer have a place on the bus.
