Whitchurch Wildlife Community Group were offered the funds at a meeting of the Wing and Ivinghoe Community Board.
Members agreed the grant to purchase basic gardening and outdoor equipment to carry out work in the village to improve the surrounding environment of both residents and wildlife.
The group hopes the project will have multiple benefits from improving and maintaining natural habitats to supporting the health and wellbeing of residents, enabling people to come together in a productive and sociable way.
