The Council told Bucks Radio the programme is not impacted by recent reports of Government axing road schemes.
Bucks Council say the Aylesbury Eastern Link programme "isn’t in any way impacted" by reports of several schemes across the country being cancelled by the Department of Transport.
They clarify that the speculation actually concerns a separate funding bid, but reiterate that the Government announcement doesn’t affect the project.
Steven Broadbent, Leader of Buckinghamshire Council, said:
"The Eastern Link Road remains on track to be delivered as part of the Woodlands development, with Buckinghamshire Council continuing to work closely with developers on the project.
"Recent reports relate to a separate bid for government funding to upgrade part of the route from a single carriageway to a dual carriageway. The outcome of that bid does not affect the delivery of the Eastern Link Road itself, which continues to be funded and delivered as planned. You can find more information on our website (external)."
