Boy kicked unconscious in Thame

Police are appealing for witnesses after a boy was assaulted in Thame.

At around 11.30am on Thursday (18/3), the victim, a teenage boy, was walking along the Phoenix Trail behind Lord William’s school near Maple Road when he was approached by between 10 to 15 teenage boys.

The boys then assaulted the victim by stamping and kicking him until he was unconscious.

The victim sustained a concussion, chipped teeth and multiple cuts and bruises. He required treatment at the Stoke Mandeville hospital and has since been discharged.

The offenders were all teenage boys aged between 15 to 16.

Investigating officer PC Alan Rae, based at Thame police station said: “This was an isolated incident and I am appealing for anyone who witnessed this, or has any information, to please get in touch.

A 16-year-old boy from Thame and a 15-year-old boy from Chinnor were arrested on suspicion of assault with injury and have been released on police bail.
