If you have your vehicle and some spare time, you could help others get to and from hospitals in Bucks.
Volunteer Driver Service Bucks are looking for people to join their ranks. Service manager Keith Davis told us you can commit as much, or little, time as you like;
"We do try and like an idea of when someones available, that they can say, 'I can do Mondays, Tuesday, but can't do Fridays' and we try and build that sort of pattern. But it's not like you have to do a shift where you start at 9am and finish at 3pm, its normally that you look after one or two patients during that day."
The organisation works closely with South Central Ambulance Service, and volunteers receive the government mileage allowance, and training, with drivers only transport non-emergency patients.
Most insurance companies don't adjust premiums, and the service will help with the logistics, and you can usually start driving within 2 weeks of applying.
