A local hairdressers in Aylesbury are finalists in the Buckinghamshire Town and County Business Awards.

Rhapsody Hairdressing is owned by Louise McEnteggart, and prides her business on being inspirational environment which embraces people of all genders, sexuality, and abilities.

A scheme she is involved with is the Safe Space Scheme, that helps people with autism, anxiety or just need somewhere to go.

Louise explains more about the safe space scheme.

"If they are in town and get extremely stressed, they have a safe space to come to where we can make sure they're okay, use the phone and just offer them some support."

As Louise has a son with autism, she is particularly invested working with families who may have children with Autism, Asperger’s, and ADHD, where they offer longer appointment times on quieter days.

The team at Rhapsody also offer bespoke hair replacement systems for men suffering from male pattern baldness.

‘’Male mental health surrounding hair loss is often unspoken of and we wanted to be able to offer a bespoke service to offer support."

But that is not all! Rhapsody Hairdressing is also part of the Green Salon Collective, which means 90% of their waste, including colour, foil, plastic and PPE, are recycled and reused.

The  Buckinghamshire Town and County Business Awards will take place in July 2021 in Kensington, central London.
