Reece Bailey, who's 31 and of Bracken Way, was sentenced to five years and seven months’ after pleading guilty to one count of possession with intent to supply crack cocaine.
On Monday 17 May 2021, officers arrested Bailey from an address on Britannia Street, Aylesbury after he tried to make off from them. Bailey was found with crack cocaine in his jacket pocket, and a drugs line phone, which had been partially dismantled and hidden in a bag of water.
Bailey was remanded to High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court where he entered a guilty plea, before being sentenced on Monday.
Investigating officer, PC Laurie Twine of the Aylesbury Stronghold team, said: “When this incident occurred Bailey was on license for similar offences. Crack cocaine is an extremely harmful drug and its supply, which, in this case was taking place in Aylesbury town centre, has a destructive impact on the local community.
“Drug dealing will not be tolerated within Aylesbury Vale and the Stronghold team will continue to pursue those who deal drugs and we will look to dismantle drugs lines and criminal groups involved in drug dealing.
“I would urge anyone who may have useful information to report it on 101, online or anonymously via Crimestoppers.”
