Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to a serious road traffic collision in which a 15-year-old pedestrian sustained serious injuries.
At just before 9pm on Friday (8/3) a red Toyota Yaris travelling from the direction of Douglas Road was involved in a collision with the 15-year-old boy on Oakfield Road just outside the Lidl store.
The boy sustained serious head and leg injuries and was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, where he remains in a stable condition at this time.
The driver of the Yaris stopped at the scene and was not injured in the incident.
No arrests have been made.
Investigating officer PC Phillip McGlue of the Roads Policing Unit, said: “I’m appealing to anybody who witnessed this collision or who may have dash-cam of the incident to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.

“The injured boy is being treated at the John Radcliffe and thankfully his injuries are not life-threatening, and he is recovering in hospital.”
