Appeal for witnesses following public order incident in High Wycombe

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to a public order incident in High Wycombe.

Between 4.45pm and 5.30pm on Friday 1 March, four males were running around Spearing Road with knives challenging people to engage in a fight.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Daisy Tarrant, of High Wycombe CID, said: “I would urge anyone who may have been in area or who may have information about this incident to please contact police.

“If you have any CCTV footage in the area or any dash-cam footage if you were driving in the area around the time, particularly in Spearing Road adjacent to the service road and the junction at Cross Road. Please check any recordings in case it has captured something that could assist our investigation. 

“You can contact us by calling 101 or making a report online quoting reference 43240098250.

“Alternatively, you can make an anonymous report on Crimestoppers’ website or by calling 0800 555 111.”

Two boys from Reading, aged 16 and 17, were arrested on suspicion of affray and possession of a bladed article. The 16-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis and the 17-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of possession of a class A drug.

A 17-year-old boy, previously of High Wycombe, was arrested on suspicion of affray and possession of a bladed article.

All three boys have been released on conditional bail.
