Officers went to the park yesterday (1/07), following concerns about the area.
In a post to Facebook, TVP Aylesbury Vale said Police Community Support Officers took part in an Environmental Audit at the park alongside Bucks County Council.
Police say they are aware there are "ongoing issues of anti-social behaviour in the area" and are working with the Council to form and implement a plan for long-term problem-solving and deterrence.
They add that the participation of PCSOs Moslin, Fincher and Edwards in the audit forms a part of their action against Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB), adding that they are continuing to patrol, work with shops and partner with agencies.
Winslow was also paid a visit this week, with Sergeant Kuttner from the Neighbourhood Team meeting with the town council on Tuesday (30/06), in order to discuss concerns around ASB in the town. Alongside the Deputy Town Clerk, a joint walkabout was carried out to review some of the issues residents had raised, including: burnt picnic benches in Tomkins Park, damage at the football ground, illegal use of e-bikes on footpaths and reported drug use.
Police say discussions also included the powers available to tackle ASB, including closure orders for properties that are persistently linked to nuisance or disorder, but added that though issues occasionally occur, Winslow 'remains a lovely town with relatively low levels of ASB'.
Instances of ASB can be reported via Thames Valley Police website, or 101.
